Trump’s Affordability Crisis
For those of you with MAGA family, friends, neighbors, etc., here’s a challenge that you can get to them anonymously if you want. (I’m not shy or adverse to conversations but that’s just me.)
Go to www.DuckDuckGo.com and paste this in quotes: “Trump speech today mentioned affordability”. Since he doesn’t speak about it every day the odds are that you will get a laundry list of results going back to at least 2024. Copy then open as many links as you want.
Now pull data from the Consumer Price Index (CPI) by month going back to the baseline date of March 2025. Then search the price of commodities going back to the baseline. Same goes for housing, energy, healthcare, vehicles, etc. Do not use any shoddy sources or statistics.
Look at the jobs report that is independent of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) because the Trump administration has stated they will only produce favorable results; i.e., manipulating the realities that make them look bad.
Yes, look at the stock market indices; DJIA, NASDAQ, S&P, etc., and proudly share it. Then contrast it to not only the other data but also to annualized returns going back to 1970. ( https://carry.com/learn/average-stock-market-returns ). In today’s existence of affordability the stock market means absolutely nothing to the average person because they are unrealized gains; i.e., until you can cash it in there are no losses or gains. Remember that!
The wealthy are getting wealthier while the working class pays the price(s). We ARE in an affordability crisis and the only way out of it is to vote in your best interests. Income vs. outflow. MAGA got us here, anti-MAGA can get us out. Pass it on.
